  • iconJOHN CONNER BATHEN

    John Connor is a senior from Newport Beach, CA. He is majoring is Finance with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. Aside from being a Peer Advisor, John Connor is on the SCU Sailing Team and involved in greek life through Sigma Pi Fraternity. In addition, he loves volunteering around the Santa Clara community, playing basketball, working out, going to the beach, and riding his road bike. This is John Connor’s first time as a Peer Advisor, and he is thrilled to welcome the freshmen class to Santa Clara University and the Leavey School of Business. He is honored to get to know and advise the future Class of 2017!

    Nolan is a sophomore from Livermore, CA. He is currently an undeclared business major, looking to major in Economics and Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship or Computer Science. Aside from being a Peer Advisor, Nolan is also a member of the Leavey School of Business ACE Program and also a member of several clubs on campus. In addition, Nolan enjoys participating in intramural sports, hiking in the outdoors, hanging out with friends, and working out at Malley. This is Nolan's first year as a Peer Advisor, and he is looking forward to getting to know the freshman class of 2017!

    Trevor is a Junior Accounting Major and Economics Minor from Winnemucca, Nevada. This past summer, he completed a tax internship with Ernst & Young and has also spent time working for the MLS club, San Jose Earthquakes. This is his second year as a LSB Peer Advisor. In his free time, Trevor loves to play guitar and watch sports. Trevor is excited to welcome the new class of incoming freshmen to Santa Clara University and looks forward to getting to know them!

    Raymond is a junior from San Jose, CA. He is majoring in Accounting & Information Systems, and pursuing a minor in Chinese. Aside from Peer Advising, Raymond is a member of LEAD Council and the Leavey Scholars Program. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, watching movies, and spending time with his family. This is Raymond's first year as a Peer Advisor, and he's looking forward to getting to know members of the Freshman Class as they start their academic careers at Santa Clara University.

    Brian is a junior from Chicago, Illinois, and is currently an accounting major. On campus, he is on the Men's Club Lacrosse team, works as an Assistant in the Dean's Office, and is an Exam Proctor for the Law School. He is also a member of the ACE Leadership Program. In his free time, Brian enjoys playing sports and loves the outdoors. This is his second year as a Peer Advisor, and he is excited to work with the incoming class.

    Michael is a junior from Saratoga, CA. He is majoring in Accounting, and in his second year as a Peer Advisor, will be serving as an accounting representative for the program. In his free time, he likes to play basketball and watch TV. Michael is looking forward to working with the incoming freshmen and making the transition into college as seamless as possible.

    Julia is a sophomore from Edina, Minnesota. In the Leavey School of Business, she is majoring in Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Julia is involved in Greek life through Alpha Phi where she is the head of New Member Communications. She also enjoys playing intramural basketball, volunteering through SCCAP, baking, and photography. This is Julia's first year as a Peer Advisor, and she is excited to help the incoming freshman find their way not only in the Leavey School of Business but at SCU as a whole.

    Kari is a sophomore from Lake Stevens, Washington. She is majoring in Economics and minoring in Spanish and Political Science. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Kari is working as the Finance Director for the Activities Planning Board at Santa Clara University. Kari is also involved in Greek life through Alpha Phi and is a member of the Panhellenic Honors Society. In her spare time, Kari enjoys to ski, run, and explore the state of California. This is Kari's first year as a Peer Advisor, and she cannot wait to meet the class of 2017 and help them obtain the most from their Santa Clara University experience.

    Meagan is a junior from Clovis, CA. She is majoring in Marketing with a minor in Communication. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Meagan is a Community Facilitator in the Modern Perspectives RLC and a small group leader in CLC (Christian Life Community). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and staying involved around campus. This is Meagan's first year as a Peer Advisor, and she is looking forward to meeting and working with the incoming freshmen as they make this transition to Santa Clara University.

    Alana Hinkston is a sophomore from Red Bluff, CA. She is currently an Undeclared Business Major but is planning on declaring Marketing with a minor in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, she is also involved with Associated Student Government, Igwebuike, being an Orientation Leader as well as volunteering in an elementary school with SCCAP. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, talking and going on adventures around the bay area. This is Alana's first year as a LSB Peer Advisor, and she is excited about getting to meet the freshman class of 2017 and helping them acclimate to Santa Clara University.

    James is a sophomore from Saratoga, California. He is currently an undeclared business major leaning toward a Finance Major with OMIS minor, or an Accounting and Information Systems major. Aside from Peer Advising, James is a brother in the fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and actively participates in Intramural sports like basketball, volleyball, soccer, and football. In his free time, he enjoys going out to eat, hanging out with friends, watching Warriors games, and playing all sports! This is James's first year as a Peer Advisor, and he is excited to meet and help members of the freshman class. Welcome to Santa Clara University and the Leavey School of Business!

    Ashlyn Iwatani is a junior Accounting major with an Entrepreneurship minor. She served as a Peer Advisor last year and loved the program so much she wanted to do something more: she joined the Peer Advising Executive Board! On campus, she is involved with the Ka Mana'o O Hawai'i club and helps coordinate the lu'au at the end of the year. In her spare time, you can find her at the gym working out or running around campus burning off all the calories she consumes while eating her way through food-famous cities like San Francisco or Palo Alto. If you ever have a suggestion on a yummy find, let her know! She is open to trying new food and restaurants.

    Kevin Krautscheid is a junior from Gresham, Oregon, currently pursuing a double major in Accounting and Economics, as well as a minor in Political Science. He has been actively involved in several undergraduate business programs including the Dean's Leadership Program, the ACE Leadership Program, Leavey Scholars and the Contemplative Leadership and Sustainability Program (CLASP). He also enjoys working in the Center for Student Leadership as the Student Organization Finances Student Assistant. In his free time, Kevin enjoys running, hiking, reading and volunteering in his local community. This is his first year as a Peer Advisor and he looks forward to supporting the incoming freshman of the class of 2017!

    Lydia Ku is a Junior Accounting major and a local student. She has an internship at the Social Services Agency and is a Sunday School teacher for two-three year olds at her church. Lydia is also involved with Delta Sigma Pi (a professional business fraternity), a couple of clubs on campus, and is a LEAD Scholars Peer Mentor. She loves hanging out with friends and going on adventures. Lydia hopes to work for one of the Big Four accounting companies, but intends to make the fullest of her college experience. She is definitely excited to help the Freshmen and welcoming them to an amazing school!

    Rohit is a Junior from Milpitas, CA. He is majoring in OMIS and double minoring in computer engineering and economics. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, cars, exercising, football, and baseball, and intramural sports. This is Rohit's first year as a Peer Advisor, and he really hopes to get to know his advisees and help them with whatever they may need.

    Kevin is a sophomore from Saratoga, California. He is double majoring in Finance and Mathematics. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Kevin is a member of the Leavey School of Business ACE Program, and works as an assistant in the Graduate Business Program. In his free time, he loves to watch basketball and football. This is Kevin's first year as a LSB Peer Advisor, and he is looking forward to meeting the incoming freshmen and helping them transition into the Santa Clara community.

    Jenna is a sophomore from Port Washington, New York. She is an Undeclared Business major with a minor in Religious Studies. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Jenna is a Student Ambassador, a member of the Jewish Student Union and a sister of the Off-Campus Greek Organization, Alpha Phi. Jenna loves to play intramural soccer and softball, watch Game of Thrones, play solitaire, and nap in the sunshine. Jenna's absolute favorite thing to do is eat Tacobell, at any time of the day! This is Jenna's first year as a Peer Advisor, and she is so excited to meet and work with the LSB Freshmen Class of 2017!

    Nicole Lugtu is an Accounting & Information Systems rising senior from Manila, Philippines. She was a Peer Advisor during her sophomore year and studied abroad in London the Fall of her junior year. She loves Peer Advising immensely and is so grateful and excited to be back and a part of the 2013-2014 Executive Board! Aside from the Peer Advisor program, she is part of ACE and a Peer Leader in CLASP, two other very great programs of the Leavey School of Business!

    Alyna Sophia is a sophomore from Bellevue, WA. She is currently pursuing a major in accounting and is considering minors in communications and sociology. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Alyna is a member of the ACE Leadership Program and a LEAD Scholar. Her joys include chocolate chip ice cream, stargazing, teddy bears, little kids, henna, and Bollywood. Alyna enjoys dancing, traveling, and frolicking, and would love to skydive one day! Alyna absolutely loves her Communitas Family and is enthused to serve as your Peer Advisor. Compassionate, fun-loving, and committed, Alyna promises to be a resource, mentor, and friend!

    Vanessa is a sophomore from San Mateo, CA. She is currently undeclared but leaning towards Finance. She speaks fluent Spanish. Off campus, she is involved in Greek life as a member of Alpha Phi. In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors and playing volleyball. Vanessa is so excited to be involved in the LSB in her first year as a Peer Advisor and can't wait to give back to her SCU community by helping the incoming freshman!

    Francisco is a senior from Managua, Nicaragua. He is majoring in Finance while also taking classes in various areas such as Marketing, Dance, English, and History. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Francisco has been a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, one of the Professional Business Fraternities on campus. In his free time, Francisco enjoys running, reading, traveling, volunteering, and dancing. This is his first year as an LSB Peer Advisor, and he is excited to help freshmen transition into the Santa Clara community and make the most out of their time here!

    Alison is a senior from Tacoma, Washington. She is majoring in accounting with a minor in sociology. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Alison has participated in the Mission Church choir at mass on the weekends and has volunteered with SCCAP. In her free time, she enjoys playing intramural sports, traveling, golfing, and cheering on Seattle sports teams. This is Alison’s first year as an LSB Peer Advisor, and she looks forward to meeting the incoming freshmen and helping them figure out how their interests may fit in with any one of the business majors offered.

    Keyonna is a junior from Oakland, CA. She is majoring in Accounting. In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Keyonna has been a member of the Dean's Leadership Program. Beginning last year, she became the Social Media Director for Her Campus Santa Clara, a member of Igwebuike, and a manager for the SCU Men's Basketball Team. In her free time, Keyonna enjoys making bracelets, listening to music, and meeting new people. This is her first year as a LSB Peer Advisor, and she is looking forward to meeting the incoming freshmen and aiding in their transition. She welcomes the class of 2017 to the Leavey School of Business!

    Carolyn Sucha is a senior Accounting major and Economics minor from Modesto, CA. This will be her third year serving on the Peer Advising team and her first year as an Executive Board member. She is also an Accounting Peer Advisor. Peer Advising is a program Carolyn is very passionate about, and she loves working with everyone. This summer, she will be an intern at PwC, which she is very excited about! In her spare time, Carolyn loves cooking, going to concerts, shopping, and watching movies with friends. She can't wait to spend one more year with the Peer Advisors!

    Jessica is a sophomore Marketing major and Spanish Studies minor. She grew up in Pleasanton, CA with her 2 sisters, parents and dogs. In addition to Peer Advising at SCU, Jessica is a Marketing and Business Development Intern at a commercial construction company, one of the founding members and chairs of LSB's Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative, and serves on the Executive Committee as VP Membership for Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity. Additionally, her interests include photography, service, reading, hiking, and country music. As a Peer Advisor, Jessica is very excited to help the incoming freshman class and share her passion for the university and the many classes, organizations and programs offered by the Leavey School of Business.

    Jessica Snyder is a senior Accounting major, Philosophy minor on the Executive Board of Peer Advising for 2013-2014 year. She also serves as an Executive Board Member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honors Society and as an Executive Board Member in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. She completed her internship with PwC this past summer and looks forward to starting full time next fall. In her free time she enjoys hiking and singing. She looks forward to welcoming everyone in the fall!

    Molly is a sophomore from San Ramon, CA. She is currently an undeclared business major but is considering accounting or finance with a possible minor in religious studies or women’s and gender studies. Aside from Peer Advising, she is a member of the Santa Clara Women’s Rowing team, the Eucharistic Ministry intern for Campus Ministry, and on the Executive Board for Community Council in Campisi. Molly enjoys being a member of SCU’s Wonderfully Made and volunteering for Santa Clara Community Action Program. When not seen running to the beautiful Rose Gardens, she can be found baking red velvet cupcakes. This is Molly’s first year as a Peer Advisor, and she is enthused and ready to help the Class of 2017 with any questions they may have!
