Retail Management Institute's 2014 Hack-a-thon

The Retail Management Institute at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business is hosting a Retail/eCommerce Hack-a-thon. We want to evolve our educational offerings to reflect the rapid changes in this industry.

Objective

The Retail Management Institute at Santa Clara University is hosting a Retail/eCommerce Hack-a-thon. We want to evolve our educational offerings to reflect the rapid changes in this industry. The main objectives of the Hack-a-Thon are as follows:

  • Share visions on the future direction of e.commerce / analytics in the retail and related industries
  • Identify the key 'skill sets' required for individuals in companies to execute on that vision
  • Identify ways that SCU/RMI can partner with the industry to realize that vision
  • Hack our curriculum to provide graduates with the required knowledge
  • Direct our research in ways that address important problems facing the industry
