Michelle DeMartini Wlazlo - Senior Vice President, Merchandising

Michelle DeMartini 210Michelle DeMartini Wlazlo is Senior Vice President of Merchandising for Old Navy, which operates over 1,000 stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Michelle leads the Men's and Women's divisions as well as Canadian Merchandising and Licensing for the brand – overseeing the product strategies, competitive positioning, and long-range vision for these businesses. Under Michelle's leadership the Licensing division, which includes character and sports licensing, has grown significantly since she guided its initial launch two years ago.

Joining Gap Inc. in 1996, Michelle has played key executive roles in several of the company's growth initiatives and consumer segments.  She led the Kids and Baby divisions in both Gap Brand and Old Navy to dominant market share gains during her tenure. Michelle was involved with the launch of Gap Body and was part of the leadership team that changed the model for the Outlet division of Gap Inc. Previously, Michelle held both field and buying leadership positions for bebe, helping establish strong partnerships in the growth of the private label business. Michelle has also held field and buying leadership positions at Saks Fifth Avenue and at Harold in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
 


A native of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Michelle attended Lowthian College in Minneapolis and was certified in the Executive Education program at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
