Two SCU Global Fellows help further educational endeavors of children in the Sundarbans, India

Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013

Claire Overholt and Jessica VanderGiessen, both Santa Clara students participating in the Business School’s Global Fellows program, created a video to help spread the word about the work they’ve been involved in during their time as Global Fellows.

They have been working with the Association for Social and Environmental Development (ASED) to bring solar-powered lights to students in the Sundarban forests of India, a community without electricity. Because of these solar lamps, students can now study after the sun goes down.
