 Hersh Shefrin : BP's Leadership Problems Evident Early : SF Gate

BP's corporate culture had weakness "baked into" it, writes Finance Professor Hersh Shefrin in the August 4, 2010 edition of SF Gate. In fact, BP was profiled in Professor Shefrin's 2008 book, Ending the Management Illusion, as a company headed for a downfall based on indicators such as: execusive optimism, overconifdence, choosing high risk to avoid having to accept an unfavorable outcome, and turning a blind eye to warning signals.
