 Meir Statman : Investing Like It's 2008 :

Morningstar, an investor services company, turned to Meir Statman (Finance) for an explanation on the popularity of certain investments in a video interview posted on its website,

Statman, an international scholar in behavioral finance, spoke about the pervasive fear in the investor population and the effect the 2008 crash had on financial behavior. Noting that the 2008 experience was particularly painful and people extrapolate from profound events. “People still feel…that we are in 2008, and so people still think that the world is going to be like that—that stocks are always going to lose, that bonds are their safety…”
