 Nidhi Jetley and Ashwini Patil: Seminar Teaches Parents About Teen "Sexting": San Jose Mercury News

MBA students Nidhi Jetley and Ashwini Patil were recently mentioned in the San Jose Mercury News for their work with Unplanned Good, a Silicon Valley nonprofit, and Westgate Church, in planning a seminar to teach parents about teenage “sexting.”  The article, “Seminar Teaches Parents about Teen ‘Sexting’” by Casey Jay, discusses the recent trend of teenagers sending text messages with sexual content and the actions that Unplanned Good, Westgate Church, and Jetley and Patil are taking to educate parents.  The seminar, “Birds and Bees and Technology,” which took place on May 5th, focused on many issues surrounding “sexting,” including safeguards, guidelines, legalities, and the risks associated with it.
