Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation

In September 2004, Farhat Ali was named President and CEO of Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation. Previously he had been selected Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the corporation, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited, formed by the merger of Fujitsu PC Corporation and Fujitsu Technology Solutions, Inc. He was responsible for restructuring the company and restoring it to profitability.

Prior to this, he held a similar position at Fujitsu PC Corporation (FPC). He joined FPC in February 2000 as Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in April 2001. He was instrumental in turning around the company and making it one of the best performing subsidiaries of Fujitsu Limited. His major contributions at FPC have been building an effective executive team, revamping IT infrastructure, and developing a world-class supply chain.

Farhat graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University where he received a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He then obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School.
