Ravi Shanmugam
Assistant Professor of Marketing

Ravi Shanmugam joined the Marketing Department in 2010 after receiving his Ph.D. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He also received an MBA from Haas and an undergraduate degree in computer science from Harvard University.
His research interests include empirical modeling of consumer choice and firm strategy, retailing, and the intersection of marketing and urban economics.
In 2012-13, he will continue to teach the introductory core marketing classes in the undergraduate and MBA programs at the Leavey School. He was a section instructor for the introductory undergraduate marketing class while a PhD student at Haas, where he was recognized by being included twice in the “Club 7” list of outstanding instructors.
Prior to his MBA and Ph.D., he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Live Person, and Digitas.
