Mission Statement

The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

How does it work?

SCUMBA Toastmasters provides an environment that is friendly and supportive that allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment of our self-paced program.  Completing each speech is very rewarding and you’ll love the applause! Constructive feedback and advice is the heart of the Toastmasters program. Each time you give a prepared speech, an evaluator will point out strengths and suggest improvements. At first you’ll be applauded for your effort… later you’ll be applauded for your skill.

Visit Us

Meet our friendly Toastmasters every Friday at 6 p.m. in Lucas Hall, Room # 306. Light refreshments will be served and there is no fee to attend the meetings.
