Eliane is co-Chair of the Finance Committee for the Palo Alto Community Fund (PACF), which has a $4 million plus endowment and distributes grants to nonprofits locally. She is an Educator/Advocate/Engaged Supporter since retiring from teaching full time for 25 years at Castilleja High School. Eliane has been actively engaged in various volunteer activities focusing on issues in education, social entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and women’s development. She co-endowed two fellowships at the Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellows and remains engaged with their respective projects.
Eliane is a member of the Foothill College Commission and sponsors an effective teacher training program at the Krause Center for Innovation (KCI). She was deeply involved with the development of the new science curriculum, at Saint Elisabeth Seton School in Palo Alto, an institution that serves students in the East Palo Alto Community and remains a member of their Development Board.
