GBP Student Representative Board (GSRB)

Introduction

A few years ago, the Graduate Business Programs (GBP) Office and the Inter-Network Council (INC) collaborated to create the GBP Student Advisory Council (GSAC).

GSAC served as a conduit between graduate business students and the GBP administration, and enabled students to play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and resource allocation of the GBP office. The GSAC provided a forum by which the students could communicate with the administration on topics regarding service improvements.

After one year of the group being in existence, the name was changed to the Graduate Student Representative Board (GSRB).  The Board members felt the name change better reflected their roles as they each represented a group of students in the MBA and MSIS programs.

Charter

Our charter is to provide an opportunity for regular dialog between a council of student leaders and the GBP administrative leadership. Each year, a group of student leaders representing a variety of backgrounds and programs will be selected through an application process.  Each student leader will represent a group of their constituents.  The members will assist the GBP Office in furthering initiatives developed by student feedback and program needs.  Issues will be prioritized and those that will create the most positive impact for the current students will be executed.
