GBP Spotlight : Senior Assistant Dean Carolyn Evans
Dr. Carolyn Evans, Senior Assistant Dean for Graduate Business

I hope that your Spring quarter is going well! I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about a new program that we're kicking off this month — the Graduate Student Advisory Board (GSAB). The GSAB will be a council of students composed of representatives from all of our programs whose mission will be to provide feedback and counsel to the GBP office. We'll look to the GSAB to get feedback on their experiences at LSB, to help with roll-out of curricular changes, and to provide ideas on new initiatives.

The GSAB will have eight student reps - one each from MSF, MSIS, AMBA, EMBA, and Emerging Professionals, and three from our Evening MBA program.  Most terms will run for one calendar year beginning in September, but the representative from the EMBA program will be elected in January of the first year of the program and serve through the following January.

I'll be chairing the committee, and Jana Hee, our Senior Director for Graduate Business Academic Support and Student Life, will also participate. Representatives will be selected by an application and interview process. Applications are available now in Lucas 116, and will need to be turned in by June 2.

If you have any questions about the GSAB or would like more information, please don't hesitate to get in touch (GBP@scu.edu).

Best wishes for a great rest of the quarter!

Warm Regards,

Carolyn
