Professor of Practice
Bernard Lee joined the Finance department in Fall 2013 as a Professor of Practice. He is Founder and Chief Executive of investment analytics firm HedgeSPA (Hedge Funds and Sophisticated Products Advisors, which provides state-of-the-art investment analytics and publishes market scenarios for professional investors). He is formerly a Visiting Associate Professor (Practice), Deputy Director of the Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics, and Research Fellow of the International Trading Institute at the Singapore Management University.
Dr. Lee has close to two decades of Wall Street financial industry experience, and was an award-winning Managing Director at BlackRock in New York City. He is the author of "Evolving Roles of Sovereign Wealth Managers After the Financial Crisis," which elaborates on materials that he first presented at the venerable Annual Meeting of the American Economic Association.
Dr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in Quantitative Finance from Imperial College, London, a M.S. in Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics from Stanford University, and a B.A. with a double major from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and its Engineering School.
