Raymond Shady

Food and Agribusiness Specialization Student
Ray will complete his MBA in the Winter Quarter, 2014, with a concentration in Food & Agribusiness.  He currently works as Business Strategist for VoloAgri Group, Inc., an agricultural technology company headquartered in South San Francisco.  He is also co-owner of Sadeg Ranch Organic Olives, LLC, a Northern California grove that produces table olives and extra virgin oil, where he actively contributes to operating and marketing activities.
 
Before pursuing a career in food and agriculture, Ray was a Senior Clinical-Systems Engineer for St. Jude Medical, Inc. with increasing responsibility from 2008 to 2012.  In this capacity he led product development projects for St. Jude's lifesaving implantable electronics, including defibrillators and pacemakers, and their customer facing computer systems.  From 2004 to 2008 Ray served in St. Jude Medical's field force, initially in the Sales division to support device implantation surgery in hospitals around the SF Bay Area and then in Research, managing FDA regulated human research trials in Northern California.
 
Ray holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and lives with his wife and three children in San Mateo, CA.
