FAI has begun the Faces of Hunger project in collaboration with the Second Harvest Food Bank.
The purpose of the Faces of Hunger project is to capture the portraits and stories of the individuals and families served by the Second Harvest Food bank in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Over the course of the summer, FAI will visit 12 food distribution sites hoping to photograph over 100 individuals and families.
A selection of portraits from the project along with a photography book will be exhibited at the September 10th Hunger Issues Forum at Santa Clara University. The Hunger Issues Forum is an annual event sponsored collaboratively by the Food and Agribusiness Institute and Second Harvest Food Bank at which both national and local hunger issues are addressed.
