    The Food and Agribusiness Institute is pleased to announce the upcoming “The Business of Beer” speaker panel and tasting on Friday, October 17th from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

    Big names in the beer industry will provide an evening of conversation, beer sampling and an opportunity to connect with industry leaders in a casual setting while indulging in some of the finest brews on the West Coast.

    Our panel discussion will include:

    • Dan Gordon: Owner/ Brewmaster, Gordon Biersch Brewing Company

    • Lloyd Knight: Marketing Manager, 21st Amendment Brewery

    • Jenny Merit: Craft Beer Ambassador, DBI Beverage

    • Keegan Raines: Beer Buyer, Whole Foods Market Cupertino

    • Jenny Lewis: Co-Founder & CEO, Strike Brewing Company

    • Marty Kuchinski: Hops Farmer, Hops-Meister LLC

     Our dialogue will be moderated by Jay Brooks, a freelance beer writer and blogger. Following our panel discussion, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and beer tastings from numerous local breweries including:

    Next week on Wednesday April 24th, the Food & Agribusiness Network will be making their first showcase as  a club on campus! Amphora Olive Oil will be holding a tasting event, as well as a business overview on what it takes to run such a global, high quality business. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided to all who come!

    Join FAI in welcoming Dandelion Chocolate to Santa Clara University. Todd Masonis and Cameron Ring, founders and core chocolate makers of the company, will give a special talk explaining the “behind the scenes” aspects of the chocolate business, the process of starting a company from the ground up, and advice for future entrepreneurs.  Following the talk, there will be a tasting of Dandelion Chocolate products.
