This unique program focuses in on the best practice methodologies of IT sustainability and the business and environmental benefits to achieving energy efficiency of IT infrastructure in an organization. Today, achieving IT sustainability for companies can mean the difference between profit or loss in revenue and whether or not the company is perceived to be a good corporate citizen.


This program offers a comprehensive overview of the fundamental building blocks that go into assimilation and adaptation of the Green IT principles, methodologies and technological enhancements that lead companies toward a Green IT strategy. Participants will learn the key drivers behind why companies today are motivated to move forward with their Green IT implementations. The program will also provide an overview of Corporate Sustainability Policy objectives and best practices around IT Asset Disposal.

This comprehensive overview is designed for those who can appreciate the importance of the energy savings both for those who can appreciate the importance of the energy savings both from a business and environmental point of view such as IT Managers, Facility Managers, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Managers, CIO, CTO or anyone interested in the importance of the achieving energy savings from business and environmental points of view.

The program is a good fit for any organizations that have a strong IT backbone to run the operations of their company. This ranges from small companies with 50-100 PCs to large enterprise organizations with mission critical operations running on their large Data Centers.


Faculty


Hareendranath Kattana (Hari) has 19 years of professional IT experience, with more than 15 years of Business Partner Technical Alliance Management and related strategic planning and optimization experience with leading companies such as IBM and Unisys. He is a PMI Certified Project Manager with a unique ability to develop intimate knowledge of customer business-driven requirements. Hari Kattana brings to the table deep best practices skills and experience in IT sustainable technologies including Advanced Data Center infrastructure planning, design and optimization to achieve energy.

Hari Kattana is also a seasoned product evangelist with solid experience in communicating value propositions and training internal teams and customer/partner advocates. He has solid experience in creating compelling business cases and securing C-Level buy-in for internal product development.

Cancellation policy and refunds:

Cancellations made more than one week prior to a program will incur a $25 processing fee. For cancellations that occur less than one week prior to a program, no refund will be given. If a participant is a no-show for a program, no refund will be given. A full refund will be given in the event the program is canceled.

The substitute information must be sent by email - scuedc@scu.edu or call 408-554-4521 with the substitute information: name, job title, email address, and phone number no later than 4 p.m. the day before the program begins. If you are unable to attend and cannot send a substitute, we offer a one time credit to attend another half day program.
