The CIE offers those enrolled in the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program the opportunity to apply new entrepreneurial skills in emerging Silicon Valley startups. A variety of paid and unpaid internships are available throughout the year.
In addition, undergraduate students enrolled in the BUSN 145 Entrepreneurship Practicum course have the opportunity to intern for a quarter at both emerging and established startups. This 2-unit course is available in Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. Undergraduate students pursuing a Minor in Entrepreneurship will also have an opportunity for a startup internship through MGMT 198E Internship in Entrepreneurship. Social Media and Events Intern
Dia Delights is a company based in Santa Clara California that focuses on production of quality food that meets varied dietary constraints. Our vision is to support the current shift in ‘food awareness’ by creating products made solely from organic and natural ingredients and by enabling the local food supply chain. While pursuing its mission “Making it Possible for All to Celebrate”, Dia Delights has developed a line of twenty different types of pastry and desserts. In the current stage, we are focusing on developing a line of savory products and identifying the potential for larger market share. You will be working on developing and maintaining Dia Delights’ social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Pinterest,. Tasks include, but are not limited to: actively updating and maintaining the social media channels and calendar; writing/summarizing blog stories; creating and brainstorming content; creating a plan to enhance online presence and identify opportunities for growth.
You will be assisting Dia Delights staff in conducting surveys and processing feedback.
As part of your internship, you will be able to directly work with the owners of Dia Delights and gain insight into day-to-day operation of a growing startup company. You will participate in social media campaigns and experience direct outcomes to the business.
