Undergraduate Internships

The CIE offers those enrolled in the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program the opportunity to apply new entrepreneurial skills in emerging Silicon Valley startups.  A variety of paid and unpaid internships are available throughout the year.

In addition, undergraduate students enrolled in the BUSN 145 Entrepreneurship Practicum course have the opportunity to intern for a quarter at both emerging and established startups.  This 2-unit course is available in Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters.  Undergraduate students pursuing a Minor in Entrepreneurship will also have an opportunity for a startup internship through MGMT 198E  Internship in Entrepreneurship.  For more information, please contact

Day Break Cares (SCU CAPE Venture) Seeks Marketing/Community Outreach Intern

DBC is looking for an enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student who is eager to learn more about the various aspects of Community Outreach and Marketing, including writing marketing materials, and content/stories for the web, social media, blog, and e-blasts. 

Primary Internship Responsibilities:

·         Marketing – Develop and maintain DBCS flyers, brochures, promotional materials, etc.

·         Social Media – Conduct online program outreach, promotion, and education using platforms such as Facebook, Linked-In, Twitter, etc.  Update website as needed.

·         Community Outreach – Identify and reach out to potential contacts for DBC in areas that include, but are not limited to: corporations, employee assistance programs, medical professionals, churches and faith-based organizations, and other non-profit / social services agencies.


·         Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, & PowerPoint.

·         Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse professional team.

·         Three or more years of experience working with the Internet and a solid understanding of the various social media platforms.
