---Job Description/Position Objectives---
This internship is an exciting opportunity to work in an educational start-up in the informal learning space. And learn what it takes to get a startup off the ground. As our business strategy and marketing intern, you will work directly with the founder to define and execute business strategies and a marketing plan for the coming summer. While this will be your main focus, you will also get an opportunity to learn about and contribute towards camp design.
Primary Goals/Responsibilities include:
1. Researching competitive and market elements to help make strategic decisions for Camp Imagineerz including:
o Camp expansion to higher grades and differentiation by grade
o Camp themes and locations for following years
o Staffing model
o Online extensions for Camp Imagineerz
2. Helping generate 40-50 registrations per week for Camp Imagineerz 2013
o Help build an innovative Marketing Plan focusing on Web and Social Media
o Own and implement the Marketing Plan including:
o Creating and Distributing Marketing Collateral and managing Social Media Activities
o Organizing Events and Public Relations/Publicity Campaigns
o Managing Website Updates
3. Researching and helping set up efficient systems/procedures for smooth operations as we scale including:
o Camper registration system
o Professional development and operating procedures for camp directors and counselors
o Materials management system
o Parent advisory and communication system
We are looking for a hands-on and driven individual who is:
- passionate about entrepreneurship/marketing
- can think big, think creatively and is eager to make a difference
- has a positive "i-can" attitude
