Undergraduate Internships

The CIE offers those enrolled in the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program the opportunity to apply new entrepreneurial skills in emerging Silicon Valley startups.  A variety of paid and unpaid internships are available throughout the year.

In addition, undergraduate students enrolled in the BUSN 145 Entrepreneurship Practicum course have the opportunity to intern for a quarter at both emerging and established startups.  This 2-unit course is available in Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters.  Undergraduate students pursuing a Minor in Entrepreneurship will also have an opportunity for a startup internship through MGMT 198E  Internship in Entrepreneurship.  For more information, please contact

Juniper Networks Seeks Intern
Paid internship, 6 month duration with possibility of renewal, approximately 30-40 hours per week


---Job Description/Position Objectives---
  Juniper Networks is looking for an intern for our Technical Assistance Center (JTAC) lab.  Candidate will assist with day-to-day lab operations and lab projects.

Candidate will assist with configuration and setup of lab monitoring and automation systems to increase lab productivity and decrease incident replication time.

Lab projects include automatic shutdown of unused equipment to reduce power consumption, implementation of inventory management utilizing RFID tags, configuration and setup of Nagios, Cricket, Smoke ping, RRD Tool, Rancid.

---Desired Skills/Knowledge:---
  Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Qualified candidates will be motivated self-starters with a strong desire to learn.  Candidates should have a working knowledge of IP networking, network management or application development.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of both Windows and Linux installation and configuration as well as programming skills.
