Jordan Agnew Named 2014 Outstanding Student Entrepreneur
Congratulations to 2014 Outstanding Student Entrepreneur Jordan Agnew! This honor is awarded annually by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to a graduating student enrolled in the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program in recognition of significant achievements in the program and acknowledgment of accomplishments in entrepreneurship. Jordan received the honor at the Leavey School of Business Senior Awards Ceremony with a presentation by Dr. Kumar Sarangee, Assistant Professor of Marketing.
Welcome 2014 CAPE Cohort
The CIE recently welcomed 51 entrepreneurs representing 37 ventures to the 2014 CAPE Cohort. We look forward to an exciting six months with the group. During CAPE's first four years of 2010-2013, the CIE has:
- Received and processed more than 1,100 applications
- Accepted 164
- Enrolled 112
- Congratulated a grand total of 95 on completion of the program for a total of 83 ventures

Spring CIE Speaker Series Welcomes John Denniston, May 8, 2014
The CIE welcomed John Denniston, President of the Board of Directors, St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Matwo and former partner at Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers. John's interactive talk focused solely around what the audience wanted to hear from the greentech sustainability expert.
CIE Office Hours for Entrepreneurs Helps Students & Alumni
On a quarterly basis, the CIE brings in Silicon Valley experts to meet with students and alumni in 20-mintue one-on-one sessions for assistance with business plan review, pitch critique, presentation review, funding discussions or a general startup Q&A session. Special thanks to our Spring Office Hours for Entrepreneurs volunteer Michelle Ellie Ahi.
Students also meet with the CIE on an ad-hoc basis year round for startup review, assistance and competition prep/assistance. Can't wait for one of our quarterly sessions? Contact CIE Executive Director Dan Aguiar to set up a meeting.
