Mr. Chan served as Chief Executive Officer of Magellan, a leader in consumer, survey, GIS and OEM GPS navigation and positioning markets, from 2006 to 2008.  At Magellan, Mr. Chan more than doubled annual revenues from $200 million to over $500 million and turned the business profitable in 12 months.  From 1992 through 2006, Mr. Chan served in various senior management positions with SanDisk Corporation, the world's largest supplier of flash branded data storage products, including most recently as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business.  At SanDisk, Mr. Chan helped drive the business from startup to over $3 billion in annual revenues.  Mr. Chan led SanDisk's entry into the retail business and was instrumental in creating and driving its retail presence through a branded product portfolio.  That business has grown to over $2 billion in annual revenues in under seven years with products being available through over 250,000 store fronts worldwide.  From 1983 to 1992, Mr. Chan held marketing and engineering positions at Chips and Technologies, Signetics, and Delco Electronics.  

Mr. Chan is a member of the Board of Directors of Silicon Labs, a public fabless, analog-intensive mixed-signal semiconductor company; and Synaptics, a public company that is a leading worldwide developer and supplier of custom-designed human interface solutions that enable people to interact more easily and intuitively with a wide variety of mobile computing, communications, entertainment, and other electronic devices.  Mr. Chan is also a director or Chairman of the Board of several privately held companies.  Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.
