CIE Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program Students Attend Churchill Club Event with Facebook COO
A group of seventeen Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program (UEP) students recently enjoyed an evening with the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, an opportunity made available exclusively for UEP students to attend at no charge by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The event, presented by the Churchill Club and sponsored by Silicon Valley Bank, featured "A Conversation with Sheryl Sandberg," Chief Operating Officer of Facebook and was moderated by Charlene Li, Founder of Altimeter Group. The program featured a networking opportunity before the speaker and a question and answer session following the program at the Palo Alto Research Center. As taken from the Churchill Club website:
The Churchill Club is Silicon Valley's premier business and technology forum. The 6,000-member, nonprofit organization has built a reputation for dynamic, in-the-news programs featuring Silicon Valley CEOs, up-and-coming executives and national business leaders. The events regularly draw more than 400 attendees and give members the opportunity to network with the best of Silicon Valley. The CIE would like to thank the Churchill Club for making this opportunity available to Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program students.
Special thanks to Santa Clara Entrepreneurs Organization (SCEO) Co-President Sol Tran for submitting our feature photo from the event.
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides students enrolled in the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program with a variety of Silicon Valley event opportunities. For more information on the program, please click here or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
