2009 BiographyBrock Benson, Founding Partner, iCompBrock is the head of iComp’s valuation research team, while also spear-heading the development of their valuation software solution. He brings experience in valuing assets and liabilities for some of the largest firms in the world. He played a key role in the development of the methodology employed by an employee stock option valuation firm sold to Merrill Lynch. In addition, he has Big 4 accounting firm experience with Pricewaterhouse Coopers where he was responsible for developing and auditing the methodology employed under FAS 123r. He has provided equity and firm valuation services for over 150 Fortune 100 and 500 clients and several of the largest private equity and venture capital funds in the world. He sits on the advisory board of an international global stock plan administration firm (Global Shares), and was the valuation speaker at the first annual Global Shares Equity Leadership Forum held in Cork, Ireland in June of 2007. He has been a key speaker at CFO conferences across the country targeted at the specific issues facing private capital firms as it relates to IRS 409a and FAS 123r. Brock was trained in the Arizona State University economics doctoral program in addition to holding a masters degree in statistics.on the Certified Equity Professional Institute Board of Advisors. |
