    The demand for accounting majors is strong. Many employers begin recruiting our accounting majors during the sophomore year. This link provides recent recruiting statistics for our accounting majors.
  • iconMeet-The-Firms Night and Accounting Career Fairs

    Describes the accounting career fairs organized by the Accounting Association and the Accounting Department.
  • iconSummer Externship Programs

    Several accounting firms organize summer programs for sophomore and junior accounting students. These programs introduce students to business leadership and accounting themes and provide opportunities to learn about career opportunities in the accounting profession. Students apply for these summer programs in winter and spring quarters.
  • iconInternship Programs

    Describes the internship programs for accounting majors. Most accounting majors obtain summer internships during the summer between a student’s junior and senior year. On-Campus interviews for summer internships occur during February of the student’s junior year. These internships often lead to full-time positions. Most accounting majors begin their senior year with a full-time job upon graduation.

    On-Campus interviews for public accounting positions generally take place in October of the student’s senior year. On-Campus interviews for industry and governmental positions occur in all quarters. This link provides information about the on-campus interview process.
  • iconThe Role of the Career Center and the Accounting Association

    The Santa Clara University Career Center posts job postings for full-time, part-time, internship, and summer program opportunities. The Career Center also provides workshops on career counseling, interview techniques, resume development, and workplace etiquette, as well as job fairs and other events. The SCU Accounting Association supplements the Career Center's activities with events specially targeting students interested in the accounting profession. These two organizations are dedicated to helping SCU students make a successful transition from school to a career in accounting.

    The Career Center uses BroncoLink, an employment clearinghouse powered by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) job and internship database, to allow SCU students access to on-campus jobs, off-campus jobs, internships and the On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) program.
