This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Study Abroad Program at Santa Clara University. What started with the passion for travel of Richard Coz, S.J., and a handful of students has grown to include hundreds of Santa Clara students each year.
To celebrate this milestone, we invite alumni who have participated in study abroad to share their memories—and read those of fellow adventurers. Santa Clara will also be welcoming two distinguished alumnae of the study abroad program, expert of Italian culture and cuisine Anne Robichaud ’70 and former Ambassador Mary Ann Peters ’72, back to campus to speak about their lives and careers abroad. The Alumni Office is also sponsoring a travel program. Then & Now: SCU in England- Aug. 31 to Sept. 12, 2014. Alumni, family & friends are all invited. Santa Clara University has always embraced a mission for a more just, humane, and sustainable world, and the rich history of international programs available to students has brought this aspiration to life. To the students, staff, and faculty who have made this ambitious vision possible over the past 50 years, Santa Clara thanks you.
