Casey (Kute) Schulz '08 was among six finalists at the TechCrunch Disrupt SF competition in September. Casey is head of R&D for Preemadonna, a family of automated devices for designing and applying nail art. Preemadonna plans to crowdfund the first Nailbot on Indiegogo at the end of October.
Mandy (Liebscher) Pearson '08 writes, "After almost seven years at Facebook working as intellectual property associate in Community/Risk Operations, our family has decided to move to my home country, Germany, for a few years. I'm excited to be close to family and childhood friends again, and to share more of the German culture and traditions with our children and my husband. We'll start our adventure with a six-week road trip across the United States on July 1, arriving in Dresden, Germany, mid-August. SCU friends, if you're in Germany at some point, send me a note! :)"
Blanca Garcia '08 and Christopher Salazar '06 were married on Sept. 13, 2014, at the Mission Church. The ceremony was officiated by Michael Zampelli, S.J. and the wedding party included Lucia Ulloa-Hernandez '07, Lucy (Shin) Lin '08, Jessica Ponce '07, Yuridia (Estrada) Esquivel '07 and Juan Carlos Esquivel '07. The newlyweds honeymooned in Greece and recently purchased their first home in Santa Clara.
