Recently elected vice mayor of Los Gatos Barbara Spector ’78 maintains her active mediation and litigation practices at Hoge Fenton Jonues & Appel in San Jose.
Accounting Today, a national magazine for public accounting professionals, has recently named Kathy Ryan '78 to its 2014 Managing Partner Elite list for her innovation in staffing, technology, and strategy. Ryan co-founded RoseRyan, a Silicon Valley-based accounting and finance consulting firm, in 1993. She serves as the firm’s CEO and CFO. In 2012, the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal named Ryan one of the most influential women in Silicon Valley that year for her success in effecting change in her industry and her community.
Patrick J. Maher ’78 has been elected as Section Representative to the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Maher previously served as the Chair of the State Bar’s Council of Section Chairs for the last two years, and Chair of the State Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section in 2010. He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law and a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Law.
Jim Hartnett J.D. '78 is the current vice chair of the California High Speed Rail Authority Board. He maintains his active litigation and dispute resolution practice as a partner at Hartnett, Smith and Paetkau in vibrant downtown Redwood City. He's a former mayor of Redwood City.
