San Francisco Superior Court Judge Donald J. Sullivan ’68, J.D. ’71 received the prestigious Judge of the Year Award for 2013 from the San Francisco Trial Lawyers' Association at its annual black tie dinner at the Ritz Carleton Hotel in San Francisco. Sullivan currently presides over a trial department in the criminal division. Besides serving in the criminal division soon after his appointment to the bench by Governor Davis in 2003, Sullivan has previously served as a Judge in the Unified Family Court doing family and juvenile dependency matters and has had a variety of Civil Court assignments, including jury trials, elder abuse and civil harassment. Sullivan reports that he immensely enjoyed the 45th reunion of his class of ’68 and wishes he had had more time to spend chatting with his classmates. Sullivan lives in Mill Valley with his wife, Genevieve.
Linda A. Mills '71 is now serving on the board of directors for Navient, the nation's leading loan management, servicing, and asset recovery company. Mills is currently corporate vice president of operations for Northrop Grumman, a leading global security provider of advanced solutions for defense, intelligence, civil agency and commercial customers.
Tom Kaminski ’71, M.A. ’72 has retired as a school principal after 34 years, 16 of them with Los Angeles Unified School District. "My biggest challenge with retirement is when to schedule my lunch between naps," he writes. His wife, Linda (Rawson) Kaminski ’72, is superintendent of Azusa Unified School District and makes sure that Tom has something to do between naps. They've been married 42 years with three children and two grandchildren.
Bob Hale M.S. '71, M.S. '79 writes, "Retired. Living in Carlsbad, Calif. Volunteering at Museum of Making Music. Enjoying life!"
Robert G. Cruz ’71, J.D. ’83 writes that he is an adjunct professor teaching business law and intergovernmental relations at the University of Guam. He also teaches business law for the University of Phoenix MBA program. He was recently elected president, Guam chapter, AARP. He is a member of the Governer's Council on Senior Citizens.
