SCU's Cable TV Service
LINC-TV -- your devices need to be "Clear QAM"
LINC-TV is now operating on the Clear QAM industry standard. Make sure the words “Clear QAM tuner" are listed on the make & model of your television, otherwise you will need to purchase a digital set top box to act as an interface to your older TV.
If you have questions about what to purchase, please contact Terry Benton, Cable TV Manager, LINC-TV Services, Santa Clara University 408-551-1746, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Need Technical Assistance?
LINC-TV - Santa Clara University's privately owned cable television system - provides cable television service to all of the residence halls. The cable headend is located in the Harrington Learning Commons. Signal is transmitted to the residence halls via coax via fiber or microwave antennae to the halls.
In addition to the off-campus programming on LINC-TV, there are a number of channels set aside for original programming, such as the University Events Channel. There are other channels available for taped programming (e.g., live campus events, event promos, training videos). If you are interested in using LINC-TV to deliver video programming, please contact Nancy Cutler, x4915, or email@example.com.
