Through community-based learning, the walls of the classroom are expanded as students learn from neighbors whose reality is often very different from their own.


The Arrupe Weekly Engagement program links SCU classes with more than 50 local community partners.



Juniors and seniors can obtain professional work experience with a community partner for a full year.



Each year approximately 15 students are granted fellowships for a summer community-based learning experience.


Faculty create an essential component of community-based learning by integrating classroom learning with the lived experiences of the community.
